Cathy Holmes- Pastel Art- July in Jitterbug
July in Jitterbug
Guest Artist at Jitterbug this month is the talented pastel artist Cathy Holmes. The vibrancy of the pure pigmented colour of pastels is what drew the Artist to this medium. The scenes recreated are the result of walks by Cathy Holmes in the beautiful Landscapes we are surrounded by in the Lake District and Local Area.
July is for Exploration
Its worth starting your exploration in the Jitterbug Gallery. Cathy Holmes showcase of fine art in Pastels is certainly worth looking at.
About the Art
For me the compositions Cathy choses to recreate the scenes she sees is the strength of this artist. Matched with the play of light and drama in everyday scenes.
The heavy pigment in pastels allows for the colours to just explode in each work in the hands of this talented artist - Resulting in creating its own magic that you want to look at again and again and again.
Don't take my word for it treat yourself to a view of these remarkable works showcased in the Jitterbug Gallery!
