A Digital Art Demonstration

by Local Artist Jacob Currie

Painting Like a Sculptor

Barrow Society of Artists are pleased to announce a forthcoming Digital Art Demonstration led by local artist Jacob Currie.

The concept of the session will be 'How Digital Art Lets you Paint Like a Sculptor' Jacob will be doing a landscape painting working from big simple shapes and getting smaller and more detailed as he goes.

This session will offer members an opportunity to observe Jacob’s digital workflow and gain insight into the techniques he uses to develop his artwork.

The demonstration will cover key aspects of Jacob’s practice, including:

  • Approaches to planning and developing digital compositions

  • An overview of the software and tools he employs

  • Methods for integrating traditional artistic principles into digital work

  • Practical guidance for those interested in exploring digital media or learning more about it

The session aims to provide a clear and informative introduction to digital art, while highlighting the work of a talented local practitioner.

We look forward to an engaging and instructive, interactive demonstration.

Jacob Currie created Barrow Society of Artists logo and the pointing bee that you will see as a theme on our correspondence and website.

This was brilliant when we did it last year. A lot of people are unsure of modern techniques but Jacob presents so well and engaging it is well worth 'learning' a bit more. It's a pleasure to welcome him back for one more demonstration before he moves away to Manchester.
