Well Done!

Paintings are selling at the Barrow Society of Artists Midsummer Moods Exhibition in the Pod at the Dock Museum. Well done to Hannah Willets for selling two paintings in the Exhibition.

Free Art Exhibition

The Free Art Exhibition is located in the Pod at the Dock Museum. 23 Artists created 52 new artworks for you to enjoy. If you want to purchase an Original Artwork many of them are for sale!

This Exhibition's final day is on Saturday 20th June. The Dock Museum is open at 11am and I would advise you to get there by 3pm at the latest to have time to look at the Original Artwork in this Exhibition. The Museum is shut on a Monday and Tuesday so back open Wednesday.

John Duffin also has an Exhibition on the Exhibition Space on the middle floor. So don't miss it.

The Midsummer Moods Exhibition

Was a challenge to our members to create size limited Art works to fit into the Pod in the Dock Museum.

The exhibitions shares Moments celebrating the light, colours, textures and diverse creative energy our members bring to their work.

I hope you get to see the responses for yourself. We created a mini affordable art exhibition created by Local Artists.

We hold Exhibitions and Extra Events that we think our Art Community will like.

Such as the Sketch and Sound event in collaborations with North West Music Academy and Artist John Duffin who was a one-time Barrow Society of Artists member before relocating.

Extra Events

Our Paintout on Piel event last year resulted in Dudley Clark's painting of the Pilot Cottages on Piel Island. Plein Air enthusiast Dudley uses water-based oil paints to pursue his interest. The painting is in this year's Midsummer Moods Exhibition.

We are planning on repeating the Paintout on Piel Event this August so that people not from the Society can join us for what turned out to be quite a special day last year. Weather of course permitting.

Don't Miss it, it Will be Gone Soon

I hope you get to see our Mini Exhibition which people have worked hard behind the scenes to provide for Barrow in Furness and the public who visit the Dock Museum. A great day of Cultural Experience.
