As December dawns and "Christmas Decorations" and "Festive Events" begin we wish all members and friends of Barrow Society of Artists the Merriest of Christmases and we hope to see you all in the New Year.
We don't hold Demonstrations or Life Drawing Classes in December because we have found people are busy selling their creations. We do have a stall at the Barrow Christmas Stamp Trail organised by Barrowful on 20th December in the Bridge. It would be lovely to see you there for a last chance to buy 'Original Artwork and Prints' as a Christmas gift.
The design above is of a Christmas Card created by Committee Member Cathy Holmes. If you want further information drop an email directly to the Artist at willowcazoom2@gmail.com
Memberships are open from January! If you are interested drop me an email or just turn up to one of the meetings: Barrowsocietyofartists@outlook.com
The next demo is Monday 5th of January by Graham Twyford much loved and respected local artist and Art Adviser to the Society.
The Programme of Events page has been updated with the 2026 Programme of Events. Thanks to Steve Cook and all the Committee for all their hard work this year. It really is very much appreciated. We still have one place left on the Committee if this interests anyone.

Jack Webster is guest Artists for December at Jitterbug, on Market St. in Ulverston. He is a remarkable Artist who specialises in stunningly beautiful scenes of Ulverston and Barrow in Furness. He also sells some of his artwork in Home Images, on Duke St Barrow in Furness.
Ideal Christmas Gift!
Its been an outstanding year. I will put up a reflection on 2025 between Christmas and New Year.
All the Very Best
