Its almost that time of year again. Meet up for a day of Plein Air Magic on Piel Island.

Everyone Welcome- What to expect

Get on the Ferry at Roa Island - The Ferry is starting at 10.30 to make sure we get across before the queue to get across the sea to the island this year.

Start -10.30 Catch the Ferry- £7 return for adults. See if you can spot a seal on the way across.

The Middle Bit - Find a spot on Piel Island to paint your favourite views. There are many on this beautiful island. From an Ancient Castle, the Cottages, the 360 degree sea views with boating sea activity -The pub the Ship Inn where you can purchase refreshments- The natural rare flora is wonderful too! Just take your favourite gear and paint or sketch your favourite bits.

The Grand Finale - Meet outside the Ship Inn Pub at 2pm for a Talk on the fascinting bits of Piel Island by Local Guide John Murphy. Share your painting and Sketching results if you want to its always surprising how many different paintings we get!

End of Day - Get the Ferry back to the mainland and head home

The weekend is the Festival of the Sea at Barrow in Furness so you may even get to see some of the visiting boats. There are always yachts and boats round Piel because this is the way most people access the Island. There is camping on the Island for those who fancy making a weekend of it. The night sky with its light unpolluted view are magical too.

Everyone is welcome there is no cost as this is just a meet up for Artists who love to paint outdoors [Plein Air]. Supervised children are welcome too but are the responsibility of the adult with them.
