Established in 1953
Artists teaching Artists to develop and improve has been our aim since 1953.

Demonstrations & Workshops

Usually held on the first Monday of each month.

We hold demonstrations and workshops each month. Usually this is on the first Monday of every month but check out the link to our Events page or our Facebook page for up to date information.

Sometimes we add an extra event in or change an event or the first Monday clashes with an annual holiday so keep your eye on the Events page for up to date information.

Each month we explore different art practices, from traditional painting to digital art.

We also try other creative avenues such as pottery, print making and glass art techniques in workshops.

Demonstrations, talks and workshops are free to members!

Life Drawing

Life Drawing Classes

On the third Friday of the month we have life drawing classes. These are untaught classes so you can develop at your own pace with your own favourite mediums.

There is a fee of £5 to attend which covers costs for the models and the hall rental. Members can bring a guest as it is open to non members to attend also.

Hope to see you there!

Exhibitions, Extra Events and Popup Events

We have a yearly exhibition to  showcase our members work. In 2025 it was at the Dock Museum. We are this year currently looking to book somewhere to show case our artists work this year. Last year we had 130 exhibits entered into the Exhibition.

In 2025 we also attended Art in the Park in Ulverston and Art Events in Barrow Town Centre. And created a Paintout on Piel.

We attend Extra Events and plan to put on some Pop Up  Events this year so keep  up to date by reading our latest Blogs and adding our Facebook page to your friends list.
