We are an active membership holding collective of Artists who hold regular meetings and promote and support original art activities and events in the local areas.
Experience the Artistry
Our current members possess a wide range of skill levels, from beginners to professionals. As part of the Barrow artists association, we explore various mediums and techniques during our gatherings. Held at the Hawcoat Memorial Hall in Barrow-in-Furness, the Barrow Society of Artists hosts regular talks, workshops, and demonstrations to celebrate creativity and innovation.
Members include traditional landscape painters, realist animal artists, plein air specialists, experimental free-form artists, digital creators, potters, glass painters, sculptors, and portrait artists.
We draw inspiration from the stunning Lake District and the vibrant industrial area with its ports and maritime activities, ensuring there’s something for every aspiration and inspiration.
